What we found was the web client added an insignificant amount of processing demand to the server
We expected a similar huge spike, taxing our server even more. In addition, we asked her to keep Outlook launched and access the web portal simultaneously. The CPU, DISK, NETWORK & RAM all spike when the user simply clicks around within the CRM realm of Outlook. We have watched a test user's performance in the PROD server as she launched the Outlook client. We have a DEV server with Server 2008 and a PROD server with Server 2008 R2, both perform with the same lag. Our CRM partner/vendor offers us no comfort, citing they see no glaring setup/config irregularities. And a mixed combo of the above, like Outlook 32 with CRM Client 64, etc., with all the same sluggish results.
Our company integrated Dynamics Navision with Dynamics CRM 2011 this summer.
